Boulogne-sur-Mer Basilica

Day 1: old town, ramparts and heritage

Start with the fortified town and a walk around the ramparts. Explore the basilica, then choose the crypt or castle museum according to your interests and opening times. After lunch, stroll through the old streets. Add street art if you wish: our activities guide includes Kobra's mural and Isabelle and Denis's personal connection with the artist.

Day 2: Nausicaá and the seafront

Give Nausicaá half a day instead of packing in several timed visits. After a meal break, enjoy the seafront and beach if conditions allow. Leave room for breaks with children. Wimereux can suit a longer stay; on a short weekend, staying in Boulogne gives each stop more time.

Adapt for rain, children and arrival

If it rains, prioritise Nausicaá, the crypt or museum and move your walk. If you arrive before 5 pm, plan an outing before check-in; early arrival is an optional service subject to availability. Standard check-out is 10 am. Read the week's agenda and parking guide. Choose your apartment with sleeping arrangements and stairs in mind.
